Liteleaf's optional Ollama integration adds a second reading to the writing workflow without handing control to the assistant. The user explicitly selects the passage to send, chooses an editorial action, and reviews the response separately before applying anything.
The integration protects LaTeX commands, environments, citations, references, and mathematics with deterministic checks. Invalid suggestions can be retried or rejected instead of silently damaging the document structure.
The administrator controls the Ollama endpoint and available model. Ollama is not part of the minimum Liteleaf topology and the integration can remain disabled. Institutions should choose and communicate their data policy for the configured endpoint.
Reviewable suggestions first arrived on July 15, 2026. Streaming, safe diffs, diagnostics, and the editorial action menu were refined in later releases.
