Liteleaf's first functional release brought the essential LaTeX workflow into one institutional environment: authenticated accounts, projects with multiple source files, an editor, PDF compilation, structured diagnostics, exports, and an administration area.
The project was designed around a simple premise: teams should be able to write together without giving up control of their infrastructure and documents. English and Brazilian Portuguese were part of that foundation from the start.
The initial release was intended for small deployments with authenticated, trusted users. That clear operational boundary remains important: self-hosting provides control, but administrators must still deploy the service according to the documented security model.
This first milestone established the foundation for collaboration, recovery, writing assistance, and the integrations covered in later posts.
